Is Your Weekend really Not a Problem ?
Now because it's January and for most that means they wanna lose some weight, start becoming healthier, many girls like as are many men but we will stay with girls because in all the time Ive been coaching people it's always the girls that find this the hardest to understand, just because you have started your health kick and started working out does not mean that the binge drinking followed by binge eating, that starts generally around Friday tea time when you have finished your working week and ends sometime Sunday can just continue when your serious about wanting to lose weight and become healthier.
The notion that somehow that because you have gone to the gym Monday through Friday means that getting loose on a weekend wont have any affect on your weight loss just because you think you trained hard this week means that your ignoring what its gonna take for you to actually accomplish what you say you want to and set out to because you don't understand weight loss, and after a few weeks of no progress its not surprising that so many then end up quitting their new year health kick. So you want weight loss but don't understand weight loss, well lets just keep it really simple, dummy proof, you have to take in less calories than you require to maintain your weight now, that's pretty simple right. Now back to the weekend, you have done great controlling what you have consumed calorie wise during the week, but then Friday tea time approaches and the girls are already talking about going to get loose, not a problem you think, smashed the gym this week, its get loose time! And there is your problem, its just a calorie thing, yes shock horror alcohol has calories in, wasted empty calories that's juts so easy to over consume and so easy to let get out of control and end up not even knowing how many was eventually consumed. Is this a bad habit like many others ? The repeating of the bad habits that's likely got you to a place where you are now, wanting to lose some weight and become healthier but refusing to understand that its your bad habits that have brought you to this place now, and for most them binge drinking weekends are a massive problem, its not like anybody goes out and drinks in anything like moderation now is it, and we all know that once you have had a few too many then the not caring and "i just want pizza" and other glorious food just comes with the territory. Something that's super important for all those that are wanting to lose weight need to know is that what ever you are doing it must be sustainable, the very first thing we educate anybody that joins our personal training programs or our bootcamp is that we don't remove anything that we enjoy as long as it can be controlled in a manner that helps bring us what we say we want and that's weight loss and good health and that includes alcohol. If your serious about long term change and your weekends are a problem now, you have to be 100% honest with yourself, if you cant control what you do then don't do it, its going against what you say you want, and binge drinking isn't helping your health at all, its ruining it, but that's another blog post. For those that need help with losing weight and building new habits, find our programs below Personal Training Bootcamp p
