nobody is coming to save you, investing in your health is your best investment I remember the time when if you were seriously poorly you would ring the doctor and he would come visit you and make you all better, its been 17 years since i last needed the doctor so i wasn't to know any different, what a surprise i got when i recently came down with a mysterious illness that left me unable to get out of bed for over a week, and i rang what would be my doctors to be told that unless i was registered disabled then they don't do house visits, well i thought not been able to get out of bed was disabled enough but not according to the doctors, either i got out my bed and went and sat in a waiting room to be seen or i went straight to the hospital.
Now going straight to the hospital was out of the question for me, not unless i thought it was life threatening, which several days later i was thinking it was heading that way, but i was lucky enough that my body and immune system started fighting back, i guess when your never ill its a shock mentally that all of a sudden your struck down, but still i couldn't go straight to the hospital knowing how stretched and under pressure they are, especially now during flu season, which i didn't have any symptoms of, and what ever i did have i didn't then want to be going to hospital where the flu virus is running wild with those been admitted. I've always prided myself on never needing a doctor, always investing in my own health, through exercise, through fueling the body with nutritious food and also keeping my mindset healthy, always been able to fight off minor ailments pretty quickly with some rest and some over the counter supplements, never having nothing more than a common cold, only once in 17 year have i been ill enough to stay off work which was the flu, but something Ive never done in the last 17 years is take any type of antibiotics, always relying on my own body to fight off any illness which for the best part it has done exactly that. I guess because the doctor wouldn't come out and i certainly wasn't well enough to go the doctors i will never know what i was struck down with, but i do know that investing in my own health certainly paid off, my own bodies defenses fighting off what ever it was, something we should all think about, are we strong enough to fight off illness naturally ? I can honestly say that i believe 100% that the fact that i exercise and eat well, and take time to invest in myself is the major factor in why i haven't really had any illness. Lets hope that i don't have any more illness for at least another 17 years, its funny i often say that i wish i could just spend a week in bed and do nothing, but i didn't mean under the circumstance that took place.
